Bryen Hensley

Sound Designer/Supervising Sound Editor/Partner

With more than 27 years of experience there isn’t a lot that Bryen hasn’t seen and heard in terms of sound. That said, he wakes up every day excited for whatever challenges the day might bring.  Landing his first post sound job in 1993, Bryen has had a steady progression of different types of projects. Independent films and documentaries, commercials, video games, television and most recently scripted podcasts, each project has its own set of challenges and Bryen has met each one with an eye towards creative storytelling and professionalism. In 2017, Bryen joined Noisefloor as a sound designer and mixer, adding his years of experience to an already well established and successful Noisefloor team, they now had another sound veteran to help elevate the company to new levels. In 2019, Bryen joined the ownership group along with founders Cory Coken and Jamie Vanadia.  His passion for long form films goes all the way back to the beginning of his career as an assistant working on notable projects such as Hoop Dreams and Stevie for Kartemquin Films, to The Merry Gentleman, and more recently, Hunters Creed and Tom of Your Life.  Video Games have been a mainstay in Bryen’s career for the last 20 years.  Working with game developer Bungie on their AAA games Halo and Destiny Series to Wideload Games indie darling Stubbs the Zombie. Bryen wears many hats at Noisefloor; Sound Designer, Mixer, Foley recordist and Owner are all hats that Bryen wears proudly each and every day.
