With over 34 years of experience and an impressive 300+ credits in the industry, Cory has built an extensive and versatile background in sound for film, television, advertising, video games, and more.
Cory began freelancing in the film and TV industries, working on major projects like Batman Forever, Apollo 13, and the acclaimed Hoop Dreams documentary. He then transitioned into advertising in the late 90s, spending over a decade creating audio for television and radio commercials for top brands like Disney, Coca-Cola, and the U.S. Army.
Passionate about indie filmmaking and video games, Cory has lent his talents to titles such as Star Wars: The Old Republic and Injustice: Gods Amoung Us. In 2005, he co-founded the post-productiojamien sound facility NoiseFloor with his friend Jamie Vanadia. What began as a small one-room operation has grown into a state-of-the-art 15-room studio in Chicago’s River North district with a team of 12 accomplished sound professionals.
NoiseFloor boasts an remarkable client roster featuring major names like the Destiny video game series, Pearl Jam’s Let’s Play Two documentary, the horror film Girl on the Third Floor, Toyota, and AT&T. Cory’s diverse projects include recording and mixing for the Drum Corps International broadcasts in over 500 theaters nationwide, as well as mixing wrestling audio for the 2012 Olympics.
An active member of his community, Cory is a member of MPSE. He also shares his deep knowledge by instructing students on audio theory and techniques for visual media at his alma mater, Columbia College Chicago.
